Description

Blue Speckled Tepary Beans
Phaseolus Vulgaris

Small, beautiful light blue and tan beans with navy blue speckles. From highland areas of southern Mexico.

Culture: Directly sow seeds into garden soil, 3-4 inches apart, one inch deep in mid-May. Keep moist but don’t overwater.

Seed saving: Let seed pods completely dry on the plants. Cut the plants at the base of the main stem or remove pods as they dry individually, and place in a paper bag or on a sheet. Stomp on beans in their pods and winnow with a fan, or on a breezy day.
