Description

Marshmallow
Althea Officinali

A beautiful fuzzy leafed mallow plant with numerous white blossoms. Plants grow to 4 1/2 feet and produce copious mucilaginous roots harvestable in the first season. Great for pollinators, beauty, and medicine.

Culture: Sow directly after the last frost. Plants like rich garden soil.

Seed saving: Allow the seed to dry on the plant and harvest seed when fully mature. For the sake of genetic diversity, collect seed from 5-10 plants when saving seed.
